Albert J. Rodgers III passed away Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2016, at his home. He was 74.

Born in Bristol, son of the late Albert and Frances Waters Rodgers, he resided most of his life in Bristol Township, before moving to Levittown 12 years ago.

He was employed as a testing engineer at DeLaVal in Trenton, N.J., prior to his retirement.

Albert was a member of the United Steel Workers of America. He was a music and movie aficionado, collecting multiple genres over the decades. He assembled a vinyl and DVD collection, worthy of praise, and would often listen and watch them at his home. Albert thoroughly enjoyed perusing flea markets and yard sales, in hopes of finding new music to add to his collection. He was an avid photographer, enjoyed writing and composing several short stories, and appreciated cats, as his favorite household pets. Albert took it upon himself to explore the Rodgers family history and document its members. He will be best remembered for his role as grandfather. Lovingly known as 'Pop Pop Rodgers' to Jonathan, Christian, Jason and Caroline, as well as their friends and neighbors, he was a sweet and thoughtful man. His Saturday visits and presence at various sporting events were cherished. Trips to the movies, the mall, fast food fun, and help with art work school projects were just some of the memories the children will hold dear. We were blessed to have such a wonderful man in our lives.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Desiree D. Rodgers. He is survived by his son, Gregory Rodgers and his wife, Maria; four grandchildren, Jonathan, Christian, Jason, and Caroline; one brother, Richard E. Rodgers and his wife, Leighann; one niece, Jenna K. Rodgers-Jonigkeit; one nephew, Daniel J. Rodgers; and two great-nephews, Connor and Asher.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his life celebration at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, followed by his memorial service at 11 a.m. at Wade Funeral Home, 1002 Radcliffe St., Bristol Borough. Interment will be in St. Mark Cemetery. Wade Funeral Home,
