Phyllis Horowitz Lamoreux,of Sun City Center, Fla., died on Saturday, January 10, 2015. Phyllis was born December 24,1942 in Philadelphia, Pa., was a longtime resident of New Jersey, but lived in sunny Florida for more than 20 years, loving every minute of it. Phyllis was a devoted mother, sister, aunt, daughter and friend to many in her lifetime, and was known as an intelligent, fiercely strong, and independent woman
Phyllis worked for the Internal Revenue Service for more than 25 years. Once she retired, she became a real estate agent, and devoted many volunteer hours to local animal shelter, C.A.R.E.
Phyllis is survived by her daughters Deborah Lamoreux and Judith Lamoreux El Masri; their spouses Anne Knowlton and Haitham El Masri; granddaughter Leila El Masri; brother Bernard (Marilyn) Horowitz; niece and nephews Cara Horowitz Grunspan, Greg Horowitz and Stephen Horowitz; and a devoted group of Sun City Center friends.
