Rose M. Howland of Levittown passed away suddenly Thursday, May 30, 2019, at Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia. She was 76.

Born in Altoona, Pa., Rose had been a resident of Levittown for over 60 years and was a member of the first graduating class of Woodrow Wilson High School. She was a longtime member of Saint Michael the Archangel parish.

Rose retired from Load Rite Trailers after many years working as a human resources manager and from 1981 until 1983, she worked as the editor of the Neighbors Magazine section of the Trentonian Newspaper.

She enjoyed bowling at Delmor Lanes in Morrisville for many years and also enjoyed going to casinos, but most important to her were her children and grandchildren all of whom she loved dearly.

Loving mother of James Howland (JoAnne), Theresa Kline and Suzanne Addesa (Vito), she was the devoted grandmother of Billy, Kevin and Rachel Kline, Michael and Brianna Howland, Hayley Rose and Heather Lynn Addesa. Rose will also be missed by her siblings, Edgar W. Hippo, David J. Hippo and Karen A. Bonk (Edward); numerous nieces and nephews; and her close friend, Dottie Rubino.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar W. Sr. and Margaret Hippo; her sister, Donna M. Meschke (late Ronald); and sisters-in-law, Nancy, Barbara and Anna Hippo.

Rose's family would like to give a special thank you to her friend and doctor, Dr. Anthony Mannino.

Family and friends are invited to attend her funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Michael the Archangel Church, 66 Levittown Parkway, Levittown, followed by Rite of Committal at Our Lady of Grace Cemetery. There are no calling hours prior to the Mass.
