Richard Sollosi
Bucks County Courier TimesRichard "Dick" Sollosi of Levittown passed away Monday, Nov. 23, 2009, at Saint Mary Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family. He was 68.
Born in Bethlehem, Pa., he was the son of Helen (Raykos) Sollosi and the late Louis S. Sollosi.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sheila (Young) Sollosi; and his three children, Rick Sollosi (Cheryl) of Levittown, Dina Erickson (Peter) of Ewing, N.J., and Derek Sollosi (Erika) of Houston, Texas. Richard had five grandchildren, Rebecca and Amanda Sollosi, Carl Francis and John Erickson, and Veronika Helen Sollosi. He also leaves behind his loyal companion, Sam. Richard is also survived by his sister, Nancy Tendziegloski (Fred) of Levittown, his brother, Warren Pae (Lorrie) of Hamilton, N.J.; and his cousin, Kati Fodor of Woodland Hills, Calif. He also had many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his infant sister, Julia; and his goddaughter, Tracie (Tendziegloski) Synder.
Richard was the owner of Patio Concrete Products in Levittown.
He was a 1960 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School, and served in the U.S. Navy from 1959 to 1965.
Richard was a member of the Knights of Columbus St. Joseph the Worker Council 4215 and the St. John Neuman Assembly, and a member of the Tin Can Sailors.
Richard took great pride in his Hungarian heritage and he travelled to Hungary many times. He truly enjoyed simple things in life such as spending time with his family, fishing and traveling.
Family and friends may call from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 28, at St. Michael the Archangel Church, 66 Levittown Parkway, Levittown, where his funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Richard's name to Lawrence Road Presbyterian Church, 1039 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648.
